       Memorial Day is a government holiday in the United States for high respect and the expression of sorrow for the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It will be celebrated by Final Monday of every year May month. 

Is Memorial Day only for military personnel died? 

      As this day celebrated earlier one who died in the civil war ( 1861 -1865) but now a days the main motive of Memorial Day, It's the honors day  those who died in any war while serving for the United States Army.

Nowadays, Memorial Day honors veterans of all wars but its roots are in America’s deadliest conflict, the Civil War. Over 620,000 army personnel died.

  Ø  In 1889, Two decades later Memorial Day became a national holiday
Ø 1868 May 30 of that year First Memorial Day declared by General John. A Logan ,President of union army veterans’ group. The ceremony took place in “Arlington National Cemetery” This has been considered first official Memorial Day Celebration.

  Ø In 1968 it was moved in last Monday of May, as this followed till now.
